How far up the Atlantic Coast can you find red fish (red drum)?
Once in a blue moon, someone will catch a black drum on Long Island, NY. Never a red drum. Same in New Jersey, never a red drum, sometimes a black drum. A red drum usually never travels farther north than southern Viginia.
Can i get free clean beat samples from some where?
it's a classic resource i've used for years, it's got loads of drum machines and synths from Roland, Korg, Technics etc etc etc. click on gear, find a manufacturer and then find the samples pack you want. it's ace. enjoy.
What exactly do I need to record drums? (decent quality)?
You're going to have to get a mixer with a USB or Firewire output. Behringer makes several, also Yamaha etc. For acoustic drums you'll need one with at least 4 mic imputs (more would be better). You don't really need special drum mics - Shure SM57's ...
